FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

  1. Why do so many links lead to Amazon? Two reasons. I’m suppose to receive some pennies on any “referrals” (sales that result from following links from my site to Amazon’s site), and it is hoped that those monies might partially defer the costs of running the site. The other reason is simply convenience: if you want to get a book, say, you can do so easily; and Amazon tracks prices and any changes so I don’t have to. Of course, I understand worries that Amazon can monopolize the market. But I believe my readers are just the kind of people who know how to explore alternatives and can, if they like, take their business down the street to their local merchant or to other online sites like Barnes and Noble or Powell Books. In that regard, let me mention a useful comparison website: camelcamelcamel.com tracks Amazon’s prices historically and compares them with those of third parties.
  2.  ©Copyrights. Everything on this site is copyrighted. If you would like to use something, simply contact me. Though many of the items here have appeared elsewhere, it is my understanding that (except for work-for-hire arrangements) I retain copyrights on my own work and am free to gather it in an anthology like this. That said, if you have any problem in my use of any copyrighted material, please contact me.
